Swingers

Had breakfast two Saturdays ago with the plb gang, after a night of pre-bday fun. Here's my scrumptious fried egg sandwich, along with some of the best tasting breakfast potatoes I've ever had.

Belgian goodness

Shared a bottle of Duvel, a Belgian golden ale(?), with Tug last night. Half a bottle each got us surprisingly buzzed.

Almost there

Some friends took me out for an early birthday celebration this past Saturday. They brought me out this cup of pineapples (yum) topped by a flower made of a tomato skin (yuck) with a candle in its center. There I am pretending to blow so that pictures could be taken. I don't have any evidence of the bacchanalian debauchery that ensued. You can check other blogs if you're curious.

Eastside, with hike pictures to come later

Ate lunch at Eastside Market Italian Deli today. They make humongous sandwiches and I can't think of anything else to say about them because I'm too tired right now from the morning's death-defying climb.

Work craziness

We're moving to a new office this weekend so the past few weeks have been pretty hectic. Here's one of the boxes I'm using to pack up my stuff. It's nifty -- there's no need for tape or assembly -- it's engineered to form itself into a fully functioning packing box with little manipulation. Also in the picture is a plastic fencing sword I use to harrass coworkers.

Next we have a free can of soda. I was given the option of picking between this (Inca Kola), coke plus, diet pepsi, and mountain dew. I'm pleased with my choice. You can also see my work calendar, which has a picture of a turtle for the month of October.

Puppies!

First, an adorable puppy that looks like it has a coat of fluffy snow. Just hanging out with his chihuahua friend. Then we have me holding a smelly but soft, well-behaved, and also very adorable shih tzu.

Dinner in Camarillo at this Italian restaurant. Service was very prompt and friendly, food was palatable, and company was good.

Work fun

Went for drinks and fattening appetizers and dinner at a Mexican place down the street from work to welcome a coworker from our Chicago office. Had a ridiculous amount of drinks but my Korean tolerance was especially strong tonight. A couple of us kept suggesting that we go do some karaoke after. We are fulfilling that desire right now but its not as satisfying as I thought it was going to be. More (wholesome) fun to be had tomorrow!

Another belated post

The beach post-sunset on Monday. Would that be dusk? There were these cute little birds running about all over the place. Inconceivably fast!
